Benefits of the Cult:

The disciple, in league with The Cult, shall be endowed with the following blessed delights:

  • A seat at our weekly ritualistic feast, with timely submission of RSVP

  • One (1) weekly guest pass, not to be used on the same person regularly

  • Access to our private Friend Cult Slack

  • Entrance to The Cult’s private temple during twilight hours (quarterly Wednesdays, 6pm - 10pm

  • Invitation to all cult-sponsored special events

Terms of Tribute:

  • Monthly Tithe: Monthly tithe due on the 1st of each month, at agreed upon level.

  • Cultic Meals: At restaurants, cultists pay the restaurant directly. Club meals (yours and your guests’) are bundled and charged between the 1st and 5th of the month, based on the prior month’s reservations. 

  • Last-Minute Absences: Restaurant meals have no cancellation fees, but if you’ve RSVP’d please try to come, to help us provide accurate headcount to our restaurant partners. Club meal reservations must be cancelled before Monday 6pm (48hrs notice, when we place catering orders) or you will be charged.

  • First month: Disciple pays prorated monthly rate, calculated by days remaining.

  • Outstanding tithes: must be paid to gain entry and can result in termination after one month past due. 

Rituals of Cessation:

The following rites shall only be honored if they are sent in writing to hello@friendcult.co 

  • Rite of Renunciation: Membership may be canceled at any time with written notice, but refunds for tithes already processed shall be denied. Members who cancel are prohibited from starting new membership for 6 months and will re-enter at the bottom of the initiate waiting list.  

  • Rite of Banishment The cult reserves the right to banish disciples who violate our code of conduct. 

  • Acts of the Gods: On occasion, we may be forced to cancel one or more weekly meetings. In these circumstances, members will be notified in official messaging systems. 

  • Sacred Interludes: Friend Cult is closed and does not meet the weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years.

  • The Pain of New Flesh: We’re actively developing policies to help fit disciple needs. We ask you to share any circumstances as they arise to help us inform that process. 

Legalese

  • Changes to terms: The cult reserves the right to amend, modify, or change any terms, conditions, or provisions of this membership agreement at any time, including but not limited to membership fees, benefits, and services offered, with or without prior notice to the member. But we’ll communicate major changes well in advance. 

  • Cloak of shadows: The Member vows to guard the secrets of the Club's rituals and customs, under penalty of grievous torment. Dissemination of non-public knowledge could result in expulsion from our dark congress, and generally, ruins the mystery for incoming members. 

  • Release from Liability: The disciple acknowledges the risks in participating in our cult, attending ritual gatherings, and congress in our temple of friendship. The disciple releases the cult from any liability for any torment incurred therein (including: personal injury, property damage, demonic possession, or other losses from such participation). 

  • Fealty to the Dark Empire: This Pact shall be subject to the laws of the dread dominion, where darkness reigns supreme: California, United States of America. 

  • Credit card authorization: The disciple authorizes The Cult to charge their credit card on file for agreed upon purchases. They understand their information will be saved online for future transactions on their account.
